super mario world, sculpted for permanence

deviantARTist Tsurera is all about geek-inspired sculpture; a peek at her gallery reveals recreations of Nintendo and comic characters, among other things, but this rendering of a level in Super Mario World is among the most impressive of her projects.

The detail is spectacular, especially when you look at the whole thing, for the grand effect:

Amazing, what can be achieved with a little polymer clay and cardboard. Looks good enough to play.
