Clamshell Ibook Greeting Cards Say Happy Birthday From Mac to You
June 4th, 2009
Remember the old clamshell Apple iBook laptop? Well even if you don’t I still think these iBook greeting cards are cool.

Handmade by Etsy paper artist Cadiz Cards, the iCard comes in sets of three, including classic blueberry, indigo and key lime iBooks, each one with a tiny screen that comes blank for you to fill in your own greeting, and a miniature keyboard that is way too small for my fat fingers.

Custom colors are also available if you’re longing for a tangerine or graphite iBook/iCard. You can grab a set over at Cadiz Cards’ Etsy shop for $12 bucks.

omgg… i love the clamshell… do they still make them?
No they stopped making the clamshell ibooks around 2001. But you can still find them for sale on Ebay or used Mac stores (online).
it’s cool! unfortunately there is no webcam
I have the real deal. The laptop is actually great once you replace the battery, upgrade the OS, and upgrade the RAM. My original Rev. A is running happily with OS X tiger. I have the tangerine one. It is a goos laptop. Not only that, it’s more durable than any other laptop i know of. The later iBook G3 laptops (not the later clamshells) like the dual USB and the G4 iBooks are a pain in the butt. They are faster but not as stylish, and they break easily.
