tengu allstars: the little led singers get a makeover

Remember Tengu? You know, the little LED guy who moves his pixel block mouth to the sounds it hears?

Well Tengu is back, and this time, he’s got some new looks. Tengu Allstars are Crispin Jones’ latest creation. These new members of the Tengu family get some serious attitude thanks to the addition of hair and little accessories. There are three new Allstars, the first of which is Rotten, the punk rocker Tengu. He is an anarchist.

Next up is Stardust, the glam rock Tengu whose dad came from Mars, and grew up in a spaceship. Tengu, do you use your pointy nipples as telescopic antennae to transmit data back to Earth?

Finally, there’s Woodstock, who kind of reminds me of Disco Stu for some reason, even though he’s supposed to be from the 1960s. But that’s nothing a little brown acid won’t take care of.

In addition to a colorful Afro hairdo, each Tengu Allstar comes with a set of character stickers which let you customize the look of each one. Check out the safety pin piercing for Rotten!

In case you don’t remember how Tengu works, here’s a short video of the USB powered vocal stylings of the little guys in concert. I’ve got a Tengu sitting in my living room – his antics never gets old.
