Although I love the motivation and hacking abilities required to do these things, the hardest part of any of these mods is fitting them into some other case. To make a gaming system portable, you have to do 3 things:
1. Battery powered regulator. (Yeah, good luck trying to play Halo all night on a battery powered electricity hog. Do you know how much current a hard drive and bright LCD screen draws?)
2. Add a screen and speakers. All systems have A/V out, and their are tons of step-by-step tutorials to show anyone who knows how to solder what to do. It is just a matter of finding a good sized LCD screen (like an old laptop or one from the original play station) and crossing the right wires.
3. cramming it all into a case and making it look nice. This is the only thing we should give this guy credit for: his ability to make a mod look nice. However, if I could auction my hacked stuff for thousands of dollars, I might be able to afford some nicer stuff too.

Seriously, why hasn’t microsoft contacted you to create a new version for them to mass produce? This would be perfect for me because my wife hates going into our gaming room with me. She gets bored. But I still enjoy spending time with her. Normally I just put gaming on the back burner but with this I could still play and hang out while she watches her favorite TV shows…
