Asus P6x58 Premium World’S First USB 3.0-Equipped Motherboard. Yes! Now We Can Plug in Our – Oh Wait.
July 24th, 2009
ASUSTeK, pioneers of the underpowered tiny computer revolution, is in the forefront again, and this time around they’ve got me excited: the Asus P6X58 Premium motherboard is the world’s first motherboard to be equipped with NEC’s USB 3.0-certified chipset. Imagine a terabyte drive with a 4.8 Gbps transfer rate that doesn’t need a separate power supply. Yummy.

I wonder what USB 3.0 products will Brando be selling. A USB-hub-terabyte drive-lamp-wrist rest shaped like an angler fish?

so does this mean USB3 cables are going to have blue tips
wish they had gone with a better color its going to look really weird on any solid color computer.
but still with speed transfer rates that fast who gives a shit.
Sure looks like USB 3.0 is getting blue as its color of choice. I sure hope USB 4.0 uses hot pink or lime green instead.
