toilet speakers: if it’s sound, flush it down

Before I begin, please do not ask me why these exist. I have no idea. But somebody over in China got the bright idea that we really needed speakers that looked like miniature toilets.

Each porta-potty cranks out 2-watts of sound, with a frequency range of 80Hz to 25kHz, and a supposed signal-to-noise ratio of >98dB. I wonder if that’s with the water running or not.

They’re available over at ChinaGrabber for $14.99 (USD) each. That’s just $114.99 more than anyone I know would ever pay for one.

And while they don’t mention it explicitly on the product page, I should remind you that you should not – under any circumstance – attempt to use these as actual toilets.
