karada trainer headphones: portable pesterer for pedestrians

These Karada Trainer Headphones literally dictate the pace that you should take while you’re exercising, based on your “age, weight, and intensity level (walking, jogging, or aerobics)” as well as your resting heart rate, which you can measure using the headphones’ built-in sensor. During the course of your exercise, a voice will prompt you to either increase or decrease your activity. And according to Ali at ChipChick, if you don’t comply with the headphone’s instructions it will show you who’s boss and turn off. Haha.

The headphones can be set to a timed workout mode, wherein the headphones will play music that the user will match – e.g. fast, intense music needs to be matched with fast, intense exercise. Of course you can also use it as plain ol’ headphones.

You can order a pair of Karada Trainer Headphones at Japan Trend Shop for $110 (USD) ($92 + shipping). Let’s hope the voice commands also come in English.
