Mario Couture

So we’ve seen gamer cufflinks for the suited folks on formal occasions, but what about the frilly, shiny side of geekery? It seems funny – Mario couture! – until you consider that the sparkly evening gown took longer to complete than any actual Mario game. Fashion design is serious business.

As you can see, the dresses range from overt and outlandish to a more subtle design with the red-and-white mushroom dress, but they certainly don’t look out of place on the runway. For some shoes? A little Nintendo love is really quite tame.
