Imagine your mother in a hospital bed after having tonsils out. How can she talk to you the next day? This would be the kind of thing hospitals and nursing homes need on hand. As well, of course, for permanently speech impaired or disabled people (like those who've had a laryngectomy). I'd rather use an iPhone than a buzz box on my neck!
