I can't imagine moving the stickers would be much faster. I most definitely would not want to un-stick and re-stick 23,598 (2622*9) stickers.

You both need to do a little research. Space Invader is far from "an original." Just go read the Wiki on Rubiks cube Art there were people doing the basics of this stuff back in the 80's and 90's...Space invader is a FOLLOWER just like everybody else. Far better stuff being done now by collaboratives anyway.., go look at http://www.cubepopart.parallaxltd.com/

I never claimed that Quigley was the only one who ever did this. As a matter of fact, I've featured Space Invader on the site.

Didn't Pablo Picasso say "Good artists borrow, Great artists steal"?

This "artist" is simply copying the French street artist, Space Invader.

www.space-invaders.com

Space Invader (the artist) has been using Rubik's cubes to create pixel art for a long time now.

It's pretty pathetic that this John Quigley guy even stole the space invaders / video game character theme for his pieces.

I see a lawsuit in the near future.

It's a real shame that there wasn't any way to shoehorn seven more cubes into the Space Invaders one, really.
