L5: Control Your Tv With Your iPhone

You know that you want to use your iPhone to control your life. Now, you can finally control your HDTV perfectly thanks to this little dongle and app.
Naturally, you can already control your iTunes on your computer using Apple’s Remote app, but you can’t use it to tune your TV. That’s all going to change next month when L5 Technology releases the L5 Remote.
The $50 (USD) infrared dongle comes paired with a free app that will turn your beloved iPhone into a universal remote. You can drag and drop buttons on the screen to set up the perfect remote control.
What’s really cool is that it doesn’t need any batteries. Nope, it drains the batteries of your iPhone! It will also control any number of devices within 30 feet.

If only apple would build an infrared module right into the iPhone, and somebody would build a Bluetooth remote for the Sony PS3 on the iPhone, I could finally ditch my other remotes.

Ah, that’s a good idea. But I managed to sell my old 2G for an astounding $250 bucks over on eBay. Go figure.
