Ilocket is Perfect for the iPod/iPhone Fan Fond of Their Ears
March 3rd, 2010
I have an iPhone and a couple iPods around my house. I used to like to listen to music on my iPhone while I worked out until I nearly ripped my ears off when I caught the cable on one of the machines. Then there was the time I got the cable caught on the treadmill arm and the iPhone went shooting off the back of the belt after the arm pulled the thing out of my pocket. I stopped wearing earphones while I worked out after that.

A new accessory is now available for the iPod, iPhone or any other device that uses headphones called the iLocket. The little plastic thingy has a hinged lid that covers a cord wrap you wind the extra cord around to get just the length you want.
On the back of the iLocket is a clip that you can clip to your clothing to keep the cable from flopping around while you exercise. The thing is pretty cool and I might actually try to exercise with my iPhone again if I had one. You can grab one on Amazon for under $5 (USD).

There’s an idea whose time has come. I’m intrigued
great idea…and so simple. I love it.

You could just run the cord under your shirt….just saying.
I find there are two types of people at the gym. The first type is there to see and be seen with a keen aversion to sweating. The second group is there to exercise and tends to sweat, huff, and puff. I fall into that second group and the thought of the cord rubbing against me under my shirt for the hour I am there, getting all sweaty isn’t appealing.
Great!, Do they make version that are spring-loaded where you can pull the cord to have it snap it to minimum size and vice-versa?
