I’m sure some of you are familiar with the name Stuart Hughes by now. He’s the crazy chap who takes gadgets and coats them in sometimes turd-colored gold, diamonds, and a bit of other gems and other rare shit and then sells the resulting mortal sin for bundles of cash. Now he’s selling the world’s most expensive television, the PrestigeHD Supreme Rose Edition. The price? £1,500,000 ($2.27 M USD). Does it do 3D? No. But wait ’til you hear what it’s made of. I tell you, Mr. Hughes has gone insane.

The PrestigeHD Supreme Rose is a 55″ HDTV, with a base and outer frame made of 28 kilograms of solid 18ct rose gold. The outer frame is “adorned with 72 brilliant round cut 1ct IF Flawless diamonds” and a mix of sunstone & amethyst, while the inner frame is made of hand sewn Alligator skin. Stuart Hughes will only make three of these; any more and the world will run out of gold and diamonds, and the lord almighty will come and smite his ass. $2.27 M a bit too expensive for you? Then you might want to settle for the budget edition PrestigeHD Supreme, which only has 19 kilograms of gold and 48 diamonds, and thus is much more affordable at £1,000,000 ($1.5 M USD).
