Map Envelope Adds a Bit of Google Magic to Snail Mail
April 14th, 2010
I can’t remember the last time I sent analog mail. Hell, I can’t remember the first time I sent one. Map Envelope makes me want to send one now. It lets you add a Google Maps image to the inside of an envelope, kind of like a visual address, along with a short message. Then you print the envelope, fold and paste it together and you’re good to go.

It’s easy to attach a Google Maps image to any email, but I doubt that would elicit as much of a smile from whoever gets it. Map Envelope is a free service, so go ahead and give it a try. Then cross your fingers and hope the post office doesn’t lose your snail mail on the way.

Love it.
And what happens when, as most people do, they slice the envelope open with a letter opener, destroying the map? lol, this is a silly idea.
Send them an email in advance telling them not to slice the envelope open! amirite?:D
