Mopho USB Analog Synthesizer: Old Meets New

May 9th, 2010 by: Lambert Varias

The Mopho is a monophonic analog synthesizer that is fully-programmable, has a USB port and can process external audio, all in a relatively lightweight package. It has “feedback effects that can range from subtle distortion to extreme skronk.” I don’t know what “skronk” is, but it sounds pretty funky, so a stronk taken to the extreme can only be more of a good thing.

Nearly all of the Mopho’s parameters each has its own dedicated knob for hassle-free tweaking. I’d tell you more about it’s features, but I can’t understand the rest of them. So. Hey look! Pictures!

Check out Dave Smith Instruments’s website for more details. You can order the Mopho Monophonic Analog Synthesizer at Amazon for $800 (USD). It’s one bad ass mopho. With EXTREME SKRONK.
