Gummix Insect Maker: Yum, Delicious Candy
May 10th, 2010
Do your kids like to play with bugs? They’d never want to put one in their mouth, would they? Well thanks to Japanese toy-maker Megahouse, they can now make their own gummi bugs and eat ‘em up. Yum.

The GUMMIX lets you make disgusting delicacies such as the giant horned rhinoceros beetle.

Up until now, these ooey-gooey candy treats were available only in Japan, but the guys over at Japan Trend Shop have started to ship the GUMMIX worldwide. $71 (USD) will get you the GUMMIX kit, including candy-making powders molds for four critters, and cryptic instructions in Japanese. Optional kits ($25 each) let you add frog, praying mantises, bees and another nasty beetle. Just think of the priceless moments you’ll have with the kids…

I use to have a product like this back in the early 90′s in the US. I wonder if these taste as nasty.
Isn’t that part of the fun? Not only should they look like bugs, they should taste like them!
You can get this.
