Space Invaders Coasters: Aliens Protect Your Coffee Table

It’s been a while since I found any new Space Invaders schwag, so when I saw these coasters, I figured they deserved a mention.
Perfect for keeping condensation off your delicate furniture, these Invaders coasters are each handmade from lacquered wood blocks to form perfect pixels under your drinks. And while they should definitely protect your fine furnishings, there’s no guarantee that they won’t start firing their laser cannons at your cat.
Unfortunately, at $60 bucks for a set of six, these aliens are a little price. But if you just have to have every item with a Space Invader on it you probably won’t be able to resist them. You can buy the Space Invaders coasters over at ThinkGeek.

With some wood and a lot of patience, you can make your own for a lot less :)
I have no such woodworking talents, so no matter how much patience I have, I think mine would look way worse.
