Berkeley Bionics’ Elegs Medical Exoskeleton: Letting Paralyzed People Walk Again
October 7th, 2010
I have to say that this is an amazing piece of technology. It’s called a medical exoskeleton and promises to make physically-challenged people walk again.
eLEGS is going to be an exoskeleton made for the general public, and is designed to help people who are in wheelchairs walk again. This tech has allowed paraplegics to walk again, which is really cool. Here’s a video showing off the eLEGS system in action:
This is pretty amazing stuff and you should be able to find out more over on the Berkeley Bionics website later today after their press conference about the technology.

eLEGS is an amazing piece of technology and it will be wonderful when it comes to market. However, you may be interested to know that there are 3 other exoskeletons for wheelchair users, ReWalk, HAL and Rex which are currently being marketed.
