Kinect Doesn’T Get Accessories, It Gets Replicas

How about them PS3 Move acccesories? Ain’t they funny? The Kinect won’t stand for that. Its revolutionary hands-free technology must be marred by silly add-ons too! But an accessory won’t do, simply because there is no controller to accessorize, unless you want the Kinect camera to wear hats or have arms and legs. No, the perfect way to ridicule the Kinect is through this 60-inch boat:

atomic accessories kinect game boat

The Game Boat is a replica of the dinghy that appears in one of the games in Kinect Adventures, the starter bundle of games for the Kinect, akin to Wii Sports. Here’s what Atomic Accessories has to say about their product: “Game Boat is de facto the first accessory for the peripheral which doesn’t need any.” So they already knew that…and yet…never mind. And before anyone asks, yes, the Game Boat is a boat, so you can use it for boating purposes. That’s realism, Kinect-style. So if you have access to a bunch of lion and tiger cubs,  go ahead and package them as Game Cubs, ideal for Kinectimals.

I know it’s October, but this feels like an April Fools joke.

The person who buys this should be slapped before they leave the store.

I am sure that Mom’s will be buying this for their 9 year olds for christmas this season.

I actually want the boat, not for using for kinect but for my family’s outdoor pool. My niece would love playing in that thing :D
