Green Lantern Trailer: Superhero Reboot Du Jour
November 17th, 2010
I’ve always had a weakness for superhero movies. It’s probably because I used to collect comic books when I was younger. I still read some from time to time, but I was really glad to see that Christopher Nolan was able to reboot the Batman series properly. Will the same be true for the Green Lantern movie, with James Bond director Martin Campbell at the helm?

In the film, test pilot Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds) stumbles onto a dying member of the Green Lantern Corps, an international police force, and is bestowed with a magical green ring and the powers to help protect this universe.
I have to say that the trailer looks pretty cool. You can check it out below or head on over to Apple for the full HD experience, which you can even download.
The movie will be released on June 17th, 2011, and it will be available in 3D as well. Are you looking forward to it?

I think it would have been better if the green lantern was black because i’m pretty sure the black green lantern was the higest rated comic book series…i will give this one a chance…it could b a surprise…after all DC does have some catching up to do with marvel…besides the two batmans which are among the best movies i have ever seen…they have not done much else…when is the next superman movie coming?
You stepped on a landmine with that Gotham Knight comment, Scott! Prepare for your wife to get irreversibly bent out of shape. My take: epic fail on your ability to accurately critique and rate a motion picture, animated or otherwise. Gotham Knight was an all-over-the-map mess, with one compelling narrative, the Killer Croc story penned by Goyer. I was very disappointed by the project as a whole, particularly the senseless mob battle storyline written by one of my favorites, Greg Rucka. And don’t even get me started on that skateboarding street kids, multiple perspective opening chapter. Lame. Gotham Knight is the anti-Dark Knight. Not recognizing this is an inadvertent admission of mental instability.
