Tokyoflash Kisai Transit Watch: Hey Kids, What Time is It?

December 1st, 2010 by: Shane McGlaun

Tokyoflash is all about strange watches that normal folk can’t read. The latest of the watches from the company is the Kisai Transit and the thing is cheaper than many of the watches offered at Tokyoflash. The Transit sells for about $94 (USD) and comes in black or white with multiple colored LEDs.

The watch is supposed to look like a city at night I guess. I don’t really see that. It looks more like a circuit board to me or the surface of the Borg Cube. The hours, minutes, and seconds are displayed on the different color lines. The hours are in blue, the minutes in blocks of five are on the orange line, and the single minutes are on the green.

The blue numbers that are hard coded on the front light up along with the proper hour, and there are orange numeric indicators for 15 and 30 minutes past the hour (but not 45 minutes for some reason). You have to see how far the line goes to actually read the time. Coming from a guy that avoids watches with a normal face that have no numbers, this thing would drive me crazy.

Hmmm…. Looks an awful lot like their Traffic watch from earlier in the year…

But this one is made from plastic, and about $100 bucks less.
