Or maybe not, but if you’re not confident with soldering and handling electroluminescent (EL) wire, I think you should follow my guide instead: Step 1, get some reflective tape. Step 2, put some on your bag. You’re done! If the resulting sad creation doesn’t make you want to work with EL wire, Ladyada and Becky Stern’s mod will. Here’s their finished product:

If you’re not daunted, you can review the steps and parts needed at Ladyada’s website. You’ll also find links to buy some of the items there, the most convenient being the $20 (USD) EL Wire Starter Pack. I think if you pull this project off you can TRON-ify pretty much any object, because it’s all in the glowing EL wire.
