Quirky Perch Bluetooth Speaker: Looks Cool, Also Looks Pricey

This cool little portable speaker is named Perch and it will connect to your favorite Bluetooth devices. It will also charge your cell phones.
It even comes with an alarm clock, microphone, and will work well with most smartphones. I wonder how good the sound will be coming from this speaker. They’ve priced it high, so it will have to be good and be able to compete with other higher-priced docks.
You can pre-order the Perch speaker from Quirky for $179.99 (USD). In my opinion, that’s way too expensive for something like this, especially when you can get many speaker docks for way less, and some of the really high-end ones with big powerful speakers for just a bit more.

I just got one of these – at $35 and 1.6oz it sounds amazing. Fully cordless too with an internal recharegable battery and bluetooth. OK, it won’t fill a big room with sound but it’s great for desk etc.
