I’m all for cases, but when cases get more expensive than an iPhone, it doesn’t make much sense. These cases were designed by Frank Mueller, a Swiss watch brand.

The special case can be pre-ordered in Japan only and will cost you a whopping $1,270 [JP]. Naturally, these cases are part of a limited edition from Softbank, and there are a total of 6 different models which will be produced just 500 times each. That’s about 3.8 million dollars in business for Softbank if you’re counting.

These cases will start shipping in April and if you’re dying for one, you should try contacting Rinkya or Geek Stuff 4 U. Personally, I’m not that interested in spending over a Grand on an iPhone case, are you?
