Olympus TOUGH TG-810: The First Camera You Can Sit On (Without Destroying it)

There are quite a few rugged cameras available, but only the new Olympus TOUGH TG-810 is crushproof up to 220 lbs. Technically speaking, you could sit on it and try to crush it and it should survive. It even looks indestructible.
The TG-810 is also waterproof up to 33 feet, shockproof (meaning that you can drop it safely from a height of 6.6 feet), and freezeproof (it can withstand temperatures as low as 14˚F). That’s a pretty rugged camera!
The rugged camera has a 14 MP sensor, 5× optical zoom, 720p HD video recording capability with HDMI out, panorama, 3D and underwater shooting modes, and more. It’s also got a built-in GPS, electronic compass, and a manometer (depth sensor). The TOUGH TG-810 will be available on April 11th for about $400 (USD).

“first crushproof camera”? Olympus has made a 220# crushproof since the 1030SW. 3 years ago.
Great Cameras… I have the 1030sw and the 8000. Just make sure you clean these when you use in salt water. I made that mistake last year. Lesson Learned!!! I will be getting this camera next week.
