There’s the Beast! What? Behind the Purple 3D Rabbit?

If Monty Python and the Holy Grail ever gets a remake, this is the tech that will be used for the evil bunny. This might sound like some sort of silly joke, but a trio of researchers from Japan has developed a way to project a 3D bunny onto a fog display using three projectors.

A fog display is just what it sounds like, some fog is made and then the projectors shoot the bunny onto said fog. You can see the projection flicker in the video below. Each of the three projectors shoots a different image onto the fog and the images combine for a full 3D bunny that you can walk around and see from different angles.

The researchers say that you could scale this up with more projectors and presumably more fog. The best part is that you don’t need a Holy Hand Grenade to defeat this bunny; you only need to pull the cord from the socket.
