Duct Tape Sheets for DIY Geeks

My uncle is an actual duct tape engineer. If you go to his house, you might find his AC unit repaired with duct tape, his trucks radiator hose, and lots more is fixed with nothing but curses and duct tape. His shop chair is held together with nothing but duct tape and dried beer. I once cut my finger and he fixed that with duct tape.

The Duck Brand of duct tape has announced a new form factor for the ubiquitous tape. It now comes in 8.25″ x 10″ adhesive backed sheets. The backside of the sheets has a cover like a sticker so you can cut it to whatever size you need and then stick it down. There are many uses for duct tape and some of them that are geeky have nothing to do with what the tape was intended for. I have seen duct tape wallets and phone cases among other things. We even talked about a duct tape case for the iPad 2 a few days back. The point is geeks use duct tape for all sorts of things, so these sheets make it even easier to geek out.

You can get these new sheets in a number of colors, and some even have patterns like zebra stripes, leopard spots, tie-dye, and even a flame-job. A pack of six sheets will cost you $9.99 (USD) and individual sheets run $1.99 each.

Cool you posted about these. I used them on the iPad 2 Duct Tape Case that you mentioned.

I think this is great! Do you know if it will be manufactured in the same patterns as the rolls? I use these for crafts like this one http://www.myducttapecrafts.com/duct-tape-coin-purse and it would be great if I could get the sheets matching the roll and use them to complement each other.

    Thanks for the info!
