T-Mobile G2X to Get Gingerbread Update Soon
April 25th, 2011
I mentioned early this month that the T-Mobile G2x smartphone had hit eBay early after a geek managed to buy one before they were supposed to launch. That early smartphone sold for a whopping $800 (USD). The G2x is now available on the network for anyone to walk in and pick up for $199 (with a 2-year contract).

The smartphone has been well received by users and is regarded as the best Android device on the T-Mobile network by many. One of the things that some don’t like about the smartphone though is the fact that it is not running the latest version of Android.
One user posted a tweet to T-Mobile that noted he liked the phone, but missed features of Gingerbread. The response from T-Mobile was that the Gingerbread update for the G2x will be coming soon and the user won’t need to wait long. No exact date was given for the update to land though.
