Kataminey Damacraft (Katamari Daminecraft?)

by Paul Strauss

Is there nothing you can’t do with Minecraft? Is this a rhetorical question? The latest and greatest repurposing of the Minecraft game engine comes in the form of a voxelated version of Namco’s quirky ball-roller Katamari Damacy.

Bat Country Entertainment invested countless hours building their Kataminey Damacraft mod. The mod works like the original, letting you control a smalle sphere, picking up various cubes from the world, and growing as it rolls around. Here, check it out in action:

What, no cows or flailing-armed innocent bystanders? Ok, it’s not quite as much fun as an actual game of Katamari Damacy, but it still is an impressive mod.  You can grab the mod and learn more about it over on the Minecraft Forums.

I still think they should have named it Katamari Daminecraft.

we just got entities working today, and added a bunch of new fun levels, and modes to the game (mod). So that means you will be able to pick up animals for an awesome weekend of fun-time adventure =0
