Relatively Portal: If Escher Worked at Aperture

July 20th, 2011 by: Lambert Varias

As if turrets and lasers were not troublesome enough, Kasper Filipsen adds multiple gravity wells into the equation in this dizzying M.C. Escher-inspired Portal scene. It’s a stage only GLaDOS could love.

The piece is of course a mash up of Valve’s hit game and M.C. Escher’s lithograph Relativity. Even if you didn’t know what it was called chances are you’ve seen it somewhere before:

Filipsen talks more about the piece on his website, where you’ll also find a high res version of the image.

Hey Ian! Sorry I wasn’t able to link to your post. I swear I saw this on Gamefreaks.:D On a related note I can’t for the life of me figure out how to spot who posted first; I love tumblr but I think the notes section is just a useless heap of links. Anyway I’ll make sure to drop by your site regularly. :D
