Antec Soundscience A/V Cooler Keeps Your Home Theater Gear from Overheating

I remember well the day my first PS3 died. I was sitting in my office working and all the sudden I heard this beeping sound. If your entertainment center is poorly ventilated – or your gear just gets hotter than you like it to, Antec has a new solution specifically for cooling your gear. The device is called the Soundscience A/V Cooler. Inside the shiny silver case is a pair of dual speed 80mm blower fans.
The top of the device is aluminum for heat dissipation. The cooler pulls hot air in from under the device and then spits that hot air out the back through pair of vents. The dual fans promise quiet operation with a maximum of 28.7 dBA of noise. Antec also says that the device needs only 5W of power to operate on high. I think the difference is that rather than blowing air on the bottom of the gear like a laptop cooler does, this sucks hot air from underneath the cooler. I think it would be more like a slim cooling fan for a compartment of your entertainment center.
