Atari Flashback 3: 60 Retro Games for the Price of One New Game
October 21st, 2011
The Atari Flashback 3 is an officially licensed console with has 60 Atari 2600 games built-in. It’s a great gift for the old-school gamer who’s been nice. Or the young gamer who’s been naughty: “I got you a console! It’s just been released!” Then make your best troll face. Then watch ‘em weep when they find out that the console it’s based on is so old it didn’t even have a pause function.
Of course there’s always a chance that kids will learn to love at least one of the 60 games built-in, like the unwinnable Missile Command or the exploitable Asteroids. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of the games in the Flashback 3 already have mobile versions though. At least you get to play them using the iconic Atari-style joysticks.

You can order the Atari Flashback 3 from Amazon for $60 (USD). UK customers may want to head to Blaze instead, where it’s being sold for £50. Pause function included. No really.

If it has ‘ADVENTURE,’ I’m in!
If you can help please ~ We cannot figure out how to get the ‘unit’ (Atari Flashback 3) to recognize 2 player games (ie. missle command). Can play all games singular but that’s not what we want. We want 2 player and cannot figure how to do this. Thanks so much!
Got it.
How did y’all figure out how to make the games 2 player?? We can’t figure it out either.

Press the ‘Select’ button (not press and hold) until you see both players. Have fun!
Hey Deb, Brittany and Marlon, I tried searching for a fix for your problem but I just couldn’t find one. I think you should try contacting the manufacturer, atGames. They should be able to help you.
Hi There! I’m all set – it’s working! Thnk you so much.
We got the atari for a Christmas present and can’t get it to 2 players. We pushed select as someone said above, but that is just starting the game…HELP!
can anyone tell me if galaga game is on the atari flashback 3 thanks.
As far as I know Galaga was never released for the Atari 2600, which is probably why it’s not built into the Flashback 3 as well. Blaze has a list of games included with the Flashback 3.
