KAWS Ikepod Horizon Watch: Beautifully Out of My Budget

March 11th, 2012 by: Range

This special-edition Ikepod Horizon Watch was designed by Mark Newson, along with graffiti artist turned painter and sculptor KAWS. This analog timepiece is definitely cool looking, and it won’t take you long to figure out how to tell the time.

The hands of this watch are elongated so that they cross like a X, and the hour hand has a small indicator at the end so you know which one it is. Each of the teeth around the perimeter represents an hour, so it’s pretty straight-forward. That being said, I’ve never had trouble telling the time with analog clocks, even if there were no numbers on the face. It’s the crazy digital ones which can be really tricky.

It’s also very substantial, with a face made of solid titanium. But before you get all excited about this timepiece, let me just tell you that this particular Horizon Ikepod will sell at Westime for $14,000 (USD). Guess I won’t be buying one any time soon.
