Some Players Reportedly Beating Diablo III in Seven Hours

May 15th, 2012 by: Conner Flynn

We have been waiting for a long time for Diablo III. The game was launched just hours ago, but it was first announced on June 28, 2008. That’s a long time for fans to wait. Yet in another disappointing turn of events, some players are reporting that they beat the entire game in just seven hours.
Diablo 3
One example is a group of players playing on the Korean server. In that short amount of time they beat the final boss and everything. They uploaded screenshots as proof. I won’t show them here since it is super spoilery. Supposedly, some beat the game in as little as 3 hours and some are saying 12 hours. They don’t say what difficulty mode they played on, but I have to imagine it was on “Normal” or “Easy” to finish it that quickly.

Regardless, a game with as much hype and cost as Diablo III should take a REALLY LONG time to beat. If this is really true, I guess the game is not as epic as many of us thought, which is a shame. Oh well. We have plenty of other games to play anyway.

    You obviously have no idea about this game. You don’t select a “difficulty” you can run through the game again on a higher difficulty and yes you can beat this game quickly if you Rush through it, don’t listen to dialogue, don’t search for any extra items, don’t do a’lot of stuff. Plus alot of players would argue that this game could be better to play on the higher difficulty runs.

      Nick: I was the one who added the line about the difficulty levels – and you caught me. I have yet to play the game, but was going from this:

      http://www.diablowiki.net/Diablo_3_Basics#Difficulty_Levels

      Which indicates that there are four difficulty levels, and I assumed that “Normal” would be easier to play through and take less time than the other levels. Is that not the case?

      @Technabob

      the lowest difficulty in diablo 3 is “NORMAL” and you cant go to the next difficulty level you have to beat the one before it .

      It is one of the core idea of the game ., people like you disgust me in a way ! ., dont write things if you dont have proper knowledge about it ., only pose your ideas as ideas not as facts and as if there are a majority of people with your ideas …

    The fun is when you get the godly legit items in the higher levels.
    (meph/diablo runs)

    if you ever played D2, you could get rushed in about 3 hours through normal-nightmare-hell, then leech cow till early 90′s.

    this game was allways a 1-3 hour a day game, then hit some UO, CS, Quake3, EQ…… good ol days haha

    “only pose your ideas as ideas not as facts…” – That’s pretty much what he did, “but I have to IMAGINE…” and “IF this is really true, I GUESS…many of us THOUGHT.”
