Gooma Case Marine Keeps Smartphones Nice and Dry
May 24th, 2012
In most situations, if you drop your phone into water, there’s a good chance that it’s toast. Granted, there are ways to save it, if it wasn’t underwater for too long. The Gooma Case Marine is a soft polyurethane skin that stretches over your phone that’s designed to protect it from water.

The condom-like Case Marine is only 0.25mm thick and has a JIS rating of IPX8, which means that it’s waterproof to nearly 33 feet. That’s pretty amazing for something so thin. Naturally, you’ll need to peel it off in order to use the dock connector or headphone jack. The current version works with iPhone 4/4S and Samsung Galaxy II phones, but an iPad version is in the works as well.
The premium version of the Gooma Case Marine sells for as little as $38 if you happen to live in Japan, but if you must have one, you can find it at the Japan Trend Shop for the rather ridiculous price of $71(USD) – plus shipping.

Amor, mira esto que encontré.
That’s pretty cool and all, but I’d like to see their heads implode while trying to design one for slider-style phones. *pop*
I am not speaking bad about the product as i have not tried it. What i will say for those of you who live in the USA is that if they are selling this for $71 USD then you might as well ship your phone off to Liquipel for a total of $68.51 USD. You don’t know what Liquipel is? Google it. It makes more since to have your phone waterproof for the rest of its life without any case, than buying a case that costs the same as chemically making your Phone waterproof.
Ter For your info casemarine is available in the Netherlands for just 32,50 EURO
