There are plenty of laptop stands out there, and all of them have their benefits and faults. There aren’t many that are perfect, and while this wooden one definitely looks like a nice one, but it has got one big problem: it costs as much as some low-spec laptops.
The curvy wood Vool laptop stand was created by the Dopludo Collective. The stand is made from pine that is grown in an eco-conscious farm near the Finnish-Russian border. With its butcher block looks, the stand is well-designed, and can be used on a desk or while you’re lounging on your bed. In addition to the angled work surface, it’s got a hollow space to tuck away a keyboard and mouse when they aren’t in use.
To be honest, I had trouble believing the price of this laptop stand, no matter how sustainable or good looking it is. They are selling it for €299 (~$399 USD). That price makes no sense to me, but hey, if you’ve got the cash to burn and like this hunk of wood, then this might be what you’re looking for.
