Grumpy Cat Holiday Special Heads to Lifetime

by Shane McGlaun

Tardar Sauce, aka “Grumpy Cat” is one of my favorite web memes. The little kitty looks unhappy about everything, making her the perfect Scrooge character for the holidays. Lifetime has announced that this holiday season Grumpy Cat will star in her own holiday movie.

The title of the TV movie is Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.┬áThe movie will focus on a cat who is overlooked at the pet shop, and a 12-year-old-girl who can talk to the cat.

Shooting will start this summer with the movie airing sometime this holiday season. I will definitely be watching this one.

Lifetime is looking for a voice actor now to play Grumpy Cat in the live action film. Who do you think should play her? Norm MacDonald? Rosanne Barr? Ben Stein?
