Now We Ain’t Saying She a Gold Digger…

There’s a story floating around the internet that a woman in China managed to amass an army of 20 boyfriends, and then managed to convince each of them to buy her an iPhone 7. Then she sold them all to buy a house. With each of the iPhones valued around $700(USD), she apparently raised over $14,000 for the down payment on a house.

I have my doubts about the authenticity of this story. Firstly, what human has the time and energy to have 20 boyfriends? On the other hand, I also have no doubt that somebody out there might try this. If this story is true, this entrepreneur just took gold-digging to a new level. That’s like crowd-defunding. Or something.

Now everyone is going to try to get 20 boyfriends and buy a house. If enough of them succeed, it could help out the housing market big time, though it could drive the price of iPhones down.
