The iPhone Dev Team recently revealed that a fatal flaw in the iPod Touch 2G’s boot ROM makes the device open to jailbreak regardless of any firmware updates that Apple may release. In other words, Apple can do nothing to jailbreak-proof the iPod Touch 2G.
