For some, Superman may be dead (or Brandon Routh), but the classic movie man of steel lives on, in hearts, in minds, and on this Xbox 360.

While I’m often not a fan of airbrushed cases (I much prefer more elaborate mods, myself), I have to say that the cracks and details in this one look great. I’m not so sure about the glaring visage of Superman himself, though. I think you probably have to be a really good gamer in order to perform under the piercing, clearly judging gaze of Superman. You know he could do it better–he’s Superman, better is sort of a job requirement–so you have to be almost super yourself. Or just turn the Xbox around. Take that, Superman. But wait! He can see through walls. There is no escape!

Thundercats, Ho! a Custom Xbox 360!

I’m not sure there’s much I can say about this Thundercats Xbox 360 that it doesn’t say for itself. I mean, sure, I can throw some adjectives around, but I propose instead a moment of silence, in which we all look about the might of this design (and possibly despair).

Look at those muscles! Look at that intensity! Surely the other side can’t be quite this badass, right?

I’m pretty sad right now that this isn’t my Xbox 360. I’m pretty sure the only thing that’s better than this custom shell would be, say, an actual planet named Plun-Darr or something.

Slick Airbrushed Xbox 360: It’S All About Master Chief

It has to be tough to pick just one game to represent everything about a platform, but in a sense, that’s what you’re doing when you customize a gaming console. When it comes to the Xbox (original or 360), though, whether or not you like Halo, you’ve got to admit it’s certainly a flagship franchise for the console.

And Master Chief makes for one badass 360, too.

deviantARTist magaggie has done tons of airbrushed consoles, as well as other projects (including shoes!), and this Halo 3 Xbox 360 is just the latest. This Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 faceplate looks pretty awesome, too.

But it looks like Old Snake is all done in matte. Master Chief? He’s got the power of pearl.

Louis Vuitton Faceplate: the Real Xbox 360 Elite

When I think of Louis Vuitton, I usually think of primping poseurs with puny purse-size pekingese – not potty-mouthed pre-pubescents playing PGR, Portal and Prince of Persia. But the minute I laid eyes on this Xbox 360 window-dressing I had to give it a second thought.

Our pals over at Hawty McBloggy spotted this over-the-top Air Effex custom airbrushed Louis Vuitton-inspired Xbox 360 faceplate over on eBay. It’s perfect if you’re going for that Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock look (or if you’ve just got taste up your arse.) It’s also perfect if you happen to be the guy who owns this car…

If you’d like to add some bling blech (I swore I’d never use that word) to your Xbox 360, you’d better head on over to eBay and hit Buy It Now for $21 before this LV faceplate gets no bids or Vuitton himself comes back from the grave to sick his lawyers on these guys for using his trademark logo without permission, whichever comes first.
