These crocheted amigurumi Stark family characters were made by Kati of Luna’s Crafts, and perfectly capture the personas of whole clan. There’s Ned, Catelyn, Robb, Sansa, Bran (who appears to be standing with the help of a couple of direwolf pups,) Arya (and her needle), and Jon Snow, complete with his flowing black locks and white wolf puppy, Ghost. Given the way season one ended, Eddard is looking better than we’ve seen him in a while.

Looks like this set is long gone (or was possibly a custom job), but if you’re interested in putting in a special order for yourself, you can head over to Luna’s Crafts Etsy shop and do so. Personally, I’d like a set with Tyrion Lannister, Khal Drogo, Daenerys Targaryen and her tiny dragon kids. Oh, and The Mountain. On a tiny crocheted horse.

I’ve seen many a Bender creation and a ton of toy Benders, but I think these may be the cutest ever. Stuff like this just makes you smile.

In-between single-player sessions (thanks to the ongoing PSN outage), she took the time to create amigurumi versions of Chell (complete with Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device), and a soft and loving weighted companion cube. She originally set out to do something involving Wheatley and a turrent, but those have so far not materialized. I’d still like to see those – and maybe some blue and orange stitched portals to hang on the wall to complete the scene. And GLaDOS. Or a potato with wires sticking out of it.

While you were all sitting on your couches upgrading your plasmids, crafter Nerdigurumi (I love that name) got out the yarn and crocheted up this awesome little Big Daddy Bouncer in amigurumi form.

Amazingly enough, Mr. Bubbles is made almost entirely from yarn, except for the button portholes adorning his hulking (yet squishy) helmet.

Best of all, Nerdigurumi has been kind enough to share her crochet pattern for the masses out there who populate the intersection of the Venn diagram between crocheters and Bioshock fans.

Handmade by EnemyAirship (who also gave us the awesome Racoon Mario rug and Question Mark Block ottoman), these miniature Mario and Koopa Troopa are perfect for anyone with a fondness for the Super Mario Bros. series.You’ll notice that Mario is once again donning his Raccoon suit, while Koopa Troopa has hidden inside his shell, ready to be tossed at other enemies.

If you want these guys, you’d better start punching some blocks, gather up $26 bucks in gold coins and rush on over to EnemyAirship’s Etsy shop, since they’re the only ones up there at the moment. And if you don’t get there in time, you’ll just have to settle for one of these…

Look! They do actually all come apart and everything.

You can put the goomba in the shoe and let Mario beat him down… leave the goomba out of the shoe and let Mario beat him down… really, your options for goomba-beatings are nearly endless.

I’d like to see more little sets like this! You could throw in all sorts of enemies from the Mushroom Kingdom and just let Mario and friends throw down in friendly crocheted cage-match fashion.

With these amigurumi projects, the faces are usually stylized, or at least crocheted like the rest, but perhaps with beads attached. Not so here; the Prince’s unique little features have been rendered in fabric and sewn on, for that extra touch. In the burgeoning crochet “market,” a crafter’s gotta do something to stand out. The katamari itself is just another bonus!

Looks like this little guy is sold out of Michelle Rheaume’s Etsy store (and can you blame whomever bought him?), but there’s a (non-costumed) Luigi available, and patterns for all sorts of Nintendo characters–including a Boo that is so cute I’m not sure he’s actually meant for human eyes.

So it’s good to see those iconic retro gaming mammals getting their due in amigurumi form. Handcrafted by June Gilbank, these little lemmings look just like their videogame counterparts, complete with fuzzy green hair, bulbous blue bodies, and tiny tools that get them out of (and occasionally into) trouble. June has lovingly recreated five of the games’ nine character types, including Walker, Floater, Blocker, Builder and Miner. Sorry, fans of Digger, Climber, Basher and Bomber will have to look elsewhere.

All sorts of critters and characters are represented in the series, from Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger and Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head (above) to classics like the shark from Jaws, the creepy twins from The Shining, and a chupacabra. They’re so adorable you just want to schoop them up and hug them! Except they might stab, bite, claw, or otherwise maim you. Ogle with caution, and keep a light on.

Crafter Artoo1121 of Geek Central Station has really gone the extra mile with this amazingly detailed little Link. As a matter of fact, he’s so cute, I think I’m gonna puke.

Link is outfitted with a Master Sword, Ocarina, an accurate Hylian shield and a teeny, tiny little bottle of Lon Lon milk, complete with a little cow on its label.

Crafter Sammi Resendes of Geek Central Station sure thinks that the classic sci-fi epic can be just as sweet as a roomful of cuddly kittens rolled in confectioners sugar. These handmade Amigurumi residents of the Star Wars universe are so cute they make me want to puke (it’s almost like that time a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain).

The collection of pint-sized crocheted figures include Admiral Ackbar, Leia, Chewbacca, Han Solo and Yoda, all created in stuffed form. They’re accompanied by tiny little weapons and other accessories made out of Sculpey clay.
