Usually when I think of Mario’s primary currency, I think of those little gold coins (and maybe some power-packed ’shrooms). So I was pleasantly surprised to see this arcade machine from Japan in which Mario pays out with real coins…

On a cold winter’s day, what better way to enjoy a gaming session than from under this toasty quilt featuring the 80s arcade classic Galaga?
Handcrafted by North Carolina artist CarolinaPatchworks, the quilt offers up a giant (18:1 scale) interpretation of the bitmapped icons from arguably the best top-down shooter of all time.
The 60-inch square quilt can be found over on Etsy for $475…

G4TV’s Attack of the Show has put together this unbelievably large cabinet for playing classic arcade games. It’s so tall that players have to stand on stepladders just to reach the controls.
The cabinet measures in at over 13-feet tall, and has a 70-inch screen for massively monstrous gaming action. I’d love to have one of these in my basement if it would fit…

That’s right. In between rounds of Dig Dug and Space Invaders, you and your buds can grab yourself a tall cold one…

Capcom today revealed a new chapter in the popular Street Fighter franchise, titled Street Fighter IV: A New Beginning.
Not much is known about the new game, except that the just released teaser trailer features some really beautiful 3D pen-and-ink style graphics, reminiscent of Okami.
It’s not known whether the graphical style will make it to the game, but I sure hope they do…

This massive Tetris-inspired case mod isn’t just a single computer, it’s actually a whole farm of networked systems, ready for some serious multiplayer gaming action.
Conceived and built by a Spanish gaming clan known as the Planet Express Klan, I’d have to say this is the most massive case mod I’ve ever seen…
