One thing’s for sure, the device is pretty small and can easily fit in a pocket. Once it’s activated, Wi-Fi goes kaboom! There are no antennas or wires involved – just mayhem.

The Portable Wi-Fi Signal Jammer is available through the Chinavasion online store and it costs about $36 USD for 1-5 units, in case you want some for your friends too. All I can think of is that you might want to block Wi-Fi for security reasons, but still it seems like a bad idea.

Featuring such greats as David Hasselhoff, Christopher Plummer and Marjoe Gortner, this 1979 low-budget schlock ripoff on Star Wars’ popularity was originally titled Starcrash, but later got renamed to Female Space Invaders, presumably because video games were starting to take off, or LucasFilm sued them. Either way, all I know is that the movie features boobs, lightsabers, horribly bad acting, terrible special effects, and nary a Space Invader among the bunch. Where do I sign up?

Here’s a quick synopsis from the seller of this obscure DVD: “Former model and Bond girl Caroline Monroe plays Stella Star, an intergalactic smuggler. Along with her partner Akton, she’s on the run from cosmic cops Thor and L (a robotic cowboy with a Texan accent) when they come across the sole survivor of a space battle instigated by the villainous Zarth Arn. Captured by their pursuers, but with the knowledge of Zarth Arn’s dastardly deed, they are brought before the Emperor of the Galaxy (Christopher Plummer), who asks of the four a special task: to find Zarth Arn and destroy him before he can use his super weapon to conquer the galaxy!”

Ok, now if only they changed that opening title from “You are about to be HURLED” to “You are about to HURL”, it might be more accurate. I suppose if you’re looking to do your own little MST3K party and want a REALLY bad flick to throw out non-sequitirs at, this could be the one. You can find a copy of it over on eBay for the low, low starting bid of $4.99.

Somebody must have thought this thing would be cute, but this “dog doll” MP3 player turned out hideous and disturbing. Not only does it look nothing like a dog, it seems incredibly impractical as a music player thanks to its strange lumpy (yet fuzzy) shape.

Unless you think a troll doll on all fours in a green leotard with a tracheotomy tube sticking out of its neck and a USB port in its ass is charming, you’ll probably want to avoid this.

I really can’t think of any reason that you’d ever want to buy this thing unless you’ve want to play a really cruel joke on someone. You know, one that goes something like this: “Hey, you know that new iPod Touch you’ve been begging for? I already bought you a brand new MP3 player that’s waaaaay better!”

Ok, I know they don’t care for the same sort of games we do in the US and UK, but I think this commercial for the Xbox 360 really sums up everything that’s wrong about Microsoft’s presence in Japan. Or maybe it’s just weird enough to be right for the market – who knows?
