Seriously, I couldn’t make this shit up. And now, you’ll be able to cover yours up thanks to the “Ecohime Flush Water Sound Cell Phone Strap”. Just flip the switch on the Ecohime, and you’ll conceal any unpleasant noises with the sound of loudly running water.

What I don’t get is that they made this thing look like a rose, but it only covers up sounds, not smells. I mean why wouldn’t you design this thing to emit a pleasant flowery scent while it’s doing its job? Seems like a major miss. Well, there’s always Ecohime 2.0, right?

Want one for your pocket? The Ecohime can be yours for the low, low price of ¥999 (appx. $10.98 USD) over at Strapya World.

Leave it to the gadget makers at SegaToys to come up with another oddity that could only come from Japan. This wacky bathroom accessory is designed to blow bubbles while you sit in the tub and chill out.

The Happy Savon (savon = French for soap) looks like a little white whale, and fills sits on the edge of your bathtub blowing bubbles as you take a soak. Just fill the miniature cetacian with any liquid soap or shampoo and flip on the power. For smelly bubbles, just add a tiny bit of aromatherapy oil to the mix.

Despite the water mammal shape and the bathroom theme, the battery-operated whale isn’t submersible, so don’t try and float it in the water unless you want a dead whale in your tub. You’ll also want to be careful to aim the bubbles towards your tub, unless you want a slippery mess all over your bathroom tile floor – the last thing you need when you step out of the tub.

Click to View Embedded Video Clip

Regardless of the hazards, the Engrish marketing materials say it’s Relax Romantic Fantasy – so how could you go wrong? You can find the Happy Savon whale bubble blower over at the Japan Trend Shop for $63 (USD).

After careful analysis of the powerful toilet in the video, I deduced that it’s named the Palermo, which you can buy at your local dealer for about $250 – $445 USD. You can check out St. Thomas Creations’ site to help find a store that carries their products.

As the video went on and on, getting more absurd by the second, I was afraid that the disembodied hand would dump a Human Baby (6.2 lbs). Or Black Tar (5 kilos).

You really don’t hear much about Donkey Kong Junior these days. If you ever wonder what happened to the little pixelated monkey in diapers, look no further. He’s got a new job keeping watch over naked people as they hose off.

This intricate hand-tiled shower was created by Colombian artists Andres Barragan and Miss Vynilos (who seems to have a thing for Mario, Princess Peach and Toadstool, too). Each tile’s color and location was based on an individual pixel from a blown-up screenshot of the Nintendo arcade classic.

There’s nothing quite like taking a shower with a baby monkey. I do it all the time.

“Your toothbrush cleans your teeth. What cleans your toothbrush?” Nice tagline. If your answer to that question is “umm..” then you might want to take a look at the VioLight Zapi toothbrush sanitizer. I think we all have to take a look at the VioLight Zapi toothbrush sanitizer, because really, what cleans your toothbrush? WHAT CLEANS YOUR TOOTHBRUSH?!?

The Zapi uses ultraviolet light to clean your toothbrush “in minutes”. Let’s hope that’s not more than 5 minutes. Since we can’t see the actual cleaning process, Zapi bobs enthusiastically as proof of the intense 99.9% cleaning action going on inside. It has a removable drip cup so you can easily clean it. So what cleans your teeth? Your toothbrush. What cleans your toothbrush? Zapi. Who cleans Zapi? You. Someone invent a Zapi Zanitizer.

The VioLight Zapi toothbrush sanitizer sells for $30 USD at Amazon. As you can see it comes in 4 colors, and includes a free matching toothbrush. It runs on three AAA batteries, not included.

Tetris Tiles come in a variety of shapes inspired by the classic arcade puzzler, and let you create unique patterns on any wall or floor. Just like the game, it’s up to you to interlock them to fill in every single spot. They come in just about every color under the sun, and are made from fine Italian ceramics.

Well, I managed to make it through the entire launch week without a single post about Halo 3. Then eBay had to ruin it all for me. I’ve finally managed to find a Halo-related story that wasn’t redundant with the mountain of coverage that’s been out there. So without further ado, I present the Master Chief toilet seat.

I can think of no better place to feature an image of the great gaming icon than on the lid of your toilet. I guess there’s not much to do in Utah, where the artist who made this woodburnt oak toilet seat hails from.

If you want this in your bathroom, you better head on over to eBay and get your bid in quick.
