While most everyone I know has been heading off to get a flu shot, I’d personally rather get injected with a dose of Bioshock’s EVE serum instead of a supposedly dead H1N1 virus grown in chicken eggs.

This Bioshock 2 EVE syringe is an exact replica of the nasty looking hypodermic implement found throughout the game. Not only does it look just like the decrepit genetic serum injector, but it glows an eerie blue when the lights go down. Extra-special-creepy there. Nice touch.

You too can get your hands on the EVE hypodermic prop over at UK retailer Play.com for £13.99 (appx. $23 USD). It’s not shipping until January 2010, just in time for the February release of the much-anticipated sequel.

Frenetic flaming fights get a lot more complicated when you’re carting one of Rapture’s creepy unchildren around, as the newly released BioShock 2 multiplayer trailer proves… but they still look a lot like regular ol’ Capture the Flag. It’s just that the flag, in this case, happens to look a lot like a little girl.

It’s a little hard to figure out just what’s going on here. Oh, the gameplay seems simple enough: one team has to capture the Little Sister, and the other team defends. What’s strange is that the capturing team’s goal is to return the Little Sister to her vent… and the defending team (which includes a Big Daddy) tries to stop you. Shouldn’t lil’ girl want to go back to her vent? The gameplay begs the question of the different dynamics in BioShock 2, and whether or not this setup is just a way to keep the multiplayer mode from being too over-the-top. The game is already a little uncomfortably kidnap-tastic… maybe they wanted to keep the added creepiness of harvesting the Little Sisters out of it.

Though, to be honest, all philosophical concerns fly right out of my head while watching this trailer. The Little Sister’s reactions – all of them – are enough to make the skin crawl.

Does every game necessarily need multiplayer? Nah, certainly not, but these days, it’s pretty standard, though the excellent BioShock was allowed to stand on its own as an (amazing) single player experience. For the sequel, however, players get a chance to experience the fall of Rapture firsthand in the new multiplayer mode. At least there’s a good idea fueling the multiplayer mode!

Forget the Circus of Values–this is a circus of death. Violent, flaming, bullet-riddled death. BioShock in multiplayer looks like a very bad day in Rapture indeed. Something tells me that frequent, inescapable death will be the order of the day when settling down for a few rounds with all the crazies.

Just in case you didn’t die enough in the single player mode. Or maybe that was just me.

BioShock 2, the sequel to Take-Two’s alternative history shooter has been delayed to the first half of 2010. The horror! The sequel was originally slated to debut late this year, just in time for the holiday buying season, but the title has been pushed back.

Does the game need more development time? That’s part of the story. The other? Money. Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick admitted that the company expects that next year will provide “a better performing product in the marketplace.”

So suck it up, gamers. No BioShock for you yet. At least one group of people might be pleased at the delay: BioShock-obsessed crafters. More time to work on those elaborate projects before the game’s release, at least.

We’re still months away from BioShock 2, but you’d never know it from the projects that have been cropping up in relation to the sequel. And while the Big Sister isn’t nearly as cute as the Big Daddy doll we’ve seen (which produces automatic “awws”), it’s still an incredible figure!

Looks pretty detailed, eh? Lots of work done? Keep in mind that this figure is less than four inches tall… and be impressed all over again. Projects like this take serious dedication. Check out the figure next to an image of the Big Sister:

Can you imagine sculpting the buckles on those legs? If your answer is “yes,” please get to work on some customs of your own… and don’t forget to send pictures.

BioShock 2 doesn’t even exist yet and already the artisans of the world are hard at work on the sequel to 2K’s alternate-history title. A doll fashioned to look like one of the game’s Big Daddy characters was shown in the sequel’s beautiful (and creepy) trailer, and now that same doll has been recreated in loving detail.

How cute! I could almost forget that he probably wants to kill me and just give him a big ol’ squeeze. The best thing? This adorable doll doesn’t include the sense of horror and foreboding I get with the trailer.

Haven’t seen the referenced trailer for BioShock 2? Climb out from under that rock and give it a watch.
