Diesel DZ7086 OLED Digital Watch

A while back, I showed you guys a pretty cool looking OLED watch from the fashion house of Diesel. That model was especially difficult to come by, and featured a tiny little monochrome blue OLED screen . The latest digital watch from Diesel amps up the organic light emitting goodness by adding a second color to the display…

clock drops numbers, doesn’t care what time it is

Dropped Numerals Clock by Nextime

Here’s a clock for people who are perpetually tardy, and want to stay that way. All of the digits on the dial of this wall clock have fallen off of the face, causing a major numeric pile-up at the bottom.

While Nextime’s Fallen Numeral clock does have a functional time mechanism, it really couldn’t give a damn about the actual time…

strange speakers look like little dead guy

Dead Bbudd Speakers

It’s been a while since I’ve seen speakers that looked quite this strange. Designed to be your “little dead desktop buddy”, they look like something that your neighborhood dominatrix might have sitting next to her computer.

The oddly-named Dutch Dead Bbudd speaker system looks like some sort of naugahyde-wrapped dude with his eyes X’d out…

extra normal watch isn’t so normal after all

filed under: design | timepieces

Extra Normal Watch

These minimal analog watches have a little secret. Using some clever optical trickery, the current hour gradually appears and disappears from view.

You see, that hour hand isn’t really a hand at all. It’s actually a cutout in a solid round disc covering the face of the watch. As the disc turns, the hour gradually comes into view, then vanishes as the next hour emerges…
