Razer Blade Gaming Laptop: Not the First Gaming Laptop, But it Sure Looks Impressive

While Razer would like to call it the “World’s First True Gaming Laptop,” it certainly isn’t, but the new Razer Blade has got a host of impressive features which might attract hardcore gamers to this platform. It will also be something for users who are looking for high-performance laptops, and don’t want to lug around systems as heavy as traditional gaming PCs.

The Blade is certainly a worthwhile option to consider if you’re in the market for a gaming laptop. Alienware has kind of lost its edge, and the XPS laptops are fine, but this baby looks pretty sleek. Its case milled from aluminum, the Blade is less than an inch thick and weighs under 7 pounds. The most distinguishing feature is the set of 10 adaptive and programmable keypad buttons and the multi-touch LCD trackpad, which doubles as a small screen. The laptop itself has a 17.3-inch screen with 1080p resolution.

The Blade costs $2,800 (USD), so it’s about the same price as the MacBook Pro 17 all decked out (MBP17 come with the 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 for that price). This one comes with a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7 2640M processor (dual-core), 8GB of RAM (1333MHz DDR3), two graphics cards (NVIDIa GeForce GT 555M with 2GB of GDDR VRAM and an integrated GPU), a 320GB 7200 RPM hard drive, and a webcam. Will it make me switch from my MacBook Pro 17? No, but the Razer Blade sure is a sleek package for gamers looking for a new laptop.

God of War Kratos Blade Replica: Destroy Your Real World Enemies…

…or actually, you probably shouldn’t do that. But you still will look awfully cool walking around with this big, bad-ass GoW blade that looks just like the one Kratos slashes his enemies with.

This prop-replica of Kratos’ Blade of Chaos is cast from sturdy zinc-aluminum, and has custom etched textures to give it that war-worn look. The only thing missing is a juicy coating of blood. This beast measures in at over 20″ long, with the blade measuring in at over a foot long. The makers of the replica have also laser-etched each individual blade with its own serial number, so you know you’ve got the real deal. Of course anyone on the business-end of this thing will probably go along with whatever you say regardless of this seal of authenticity.

‘Wasp Knife’ Will Stab Your Victims Then Freeze Their Organs

Britain is reportedly on alert for the wasp knife, a knife that can “deliver a ball of compressed gas capable of killing its victim at the press of a button.” A needle in the tip of the knife’s blade shoots out a little frozen gas ball which instantaneously grows to “the size of a basketball” and freezes the victim’s internal organs.

The Wasp Knife was created to kill bears and sharks, which is super handy if you’re like me and you find that bears and sharks are constantly bothering you. Especially bears. Then again, I spend most weekends hiking the back-country of rural Montana while slathered from head to toe in a delicious layer of honey, so maybe it’s related to that.
