Ah, another day, another strange Japanese product. This time, we’ve got a pair of googly eyes you can stick anywhere you’d like, and they blink. Yep, that’s it.

Through the miracle of modern suction cup technology, the Niko Dama blinky eyeballs will stick on just about any surface. Want proof?

Here’s a video of the googly eyeballs in action, just in case you can’t figure out how they work:

Click to View Embedded Video Clip

The whole thing reminds me of that weird Christopher Walken SNL skit with the googly eyes. Or maybe that I just do eyes scene from Blade Runner – I can’t decide. Now you can recreate either scene for yourself. Just head on over to Strapya World, where you can buy them for $38.90 (USD) a pair.

Here’s a gadget that doesn’t really serve a useful purpose, but somehow still seems like a good idea.

Just when you though that AA-battery was on its final last breath, why not give it one last sendoff.

Place your dying AA-batteries in the mouth of the magnetic Battery Eater, and he’ll chomp down on it until there’s no juice left in it. Made from an exposed circuit board with bent wire hair, his LED eyeballs will blink until every last bit of power is gone. The best touch: the capacitor for a nose – that’s priceless.

Designer David Dear created the Battery Eater for Kikkerland, and they can be found online from ShiptheWeb for just $6.95 each.
