South Park: The Game RPG in the Works, Parody of South Park: The Game on South Park to Follow Shortly

South Park fans, start stocking up on your Cheesy Poofs and obscure references-turned-battlecries. Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the long-running animated series, have confirmed that they are working with THQ and Obsidian for South Park: The Game, a “full scale RPG” for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Respect my +69 Staff of Boneration!

Some of you may not have fully repressed the existence of the not so awesome South Park first-person shooter from your memories. But things are looking up; speaking with Game Informer, Parker and Stone have said that they are “writing the script, performing the dialogue, and overseeing the development” of the game. More big-boned details about the game will be on the January 2012 issue of Game Informer, which drops on December 8th (yeah I know, they got the dates wrong!) but you can check out the full cover spread on Game Informer’s website now. The Periodic Table of Robots: 2 Haro + 1 Big O Mechs Water

We’ve featured a couple of geeky takes on the periodic table of elements, and I’m sure there are more lurking around on the Internet. But this version is a bit more special than the other ones I’ve seen, and not just because it features my favorite Sci-Fi staple – robots! – but also because the unknown hero who made this tried his best to find robots with names that also fit the acronyms of the actual elements.

As you can see the mecha-Mendeleev who put this together used characters from several media – cartoons, movies, anime and of course video games. Unfortunately the task involved putting in other characters that are not technically robots, hence the disclaimer title. It also meant skipping out on other famous robots. For example, Proto Man and Cutman are here, but not Rock Man/Mega Man. Also absent are Voltes V and Voltron, but that octopus attendant bot from Combattler V gets a slot.

Those oversights are by no means insignificant, but it’s still awesome seeing all these characters in one place. If you guys know who made this table please tell us in the comments. Meanwhile fellow robot fans looking to burn some time can view the full-sized table here and try and name all of the characters used.

Voltron Go Lion 24″ Shogun Warrior Doesn’T Disassemble Into 4.8″ Lions

Anime fans know that what we know as Voltron is actually a mish mash of different animes. The first and perhaps most famous season featured five robot lions that combined to form (say it with me!) VOLTRON: DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE. That season was based on the anime Beast King GoLion. But whatever we call it, a robot made of five lions is universally awesome, and naturally, so will a 24-inch action figure of said robot.

In case you’re wondering if this is a legit release, Toyark also spotted GoLion defending the San Diego Comic-Con:

They also spotted the Shogun Warrior version of the 2nd season Voltron, the absurd 15 vehicle mega robot Armored Fleet Dairugger XV:

AFD XV looks a lot more detailed than GoLion don’t you think? I’m not sure if it’s already available for pre-order though. But I do know that several stores are already taking pre-orders for the Beast King GoLion Shogun Warriors action figure. You can reserve it at Big Bad Toy Store for $230 (USD). Only 500 of this bad ass action figure will be made, so better secure yours now.

For Grumpy, Non-Morning People: Mr. Bump Alarm Clock Turns Off When Thrown Against Wall

The Mr. Bump alarm clock is very weird but also very appropriate: when its alarm goes off, you can turn it off by hurling it against a wall, or against any hard surface I guess. It’s a gadget that risks being destroyed in order to function, and yet it’s also a gadget that knows its users’ probable response.

Poor guy; he’s already expecting to be hurt. Some of you may recognize Mr. Bump, the accident-prone character from Roger Hargreaves’ Mr. Men series of children’s books way back in the 70′s. I am proud to say that I do not recognize him, which means I am not that old. Finally, something that’s too retro for me to know.

Wait. If you think about it, any alarm clock will stop alarming if you throw it against a wall hard enough. Hmmm.
