The last time I sharpened a pencil was when I took my licensure examination to become a Chemical Engineer. Before that, however, the last time I probably sharpened and used pencils on a regular basis was in third grade, before we made the switch to ballpoint pens.

If you miss the good old days when you still had to sharpen up stuff, then look no further than the Parmesan Pencils. Aside from letting you sharpen to your heart’s content, you can also serve it up and top the shavings on your food to complete your dishes.

The brainchild of these cheesy pencils was Germany-based ad agency Kolle Rebbe, who took on the project for a cooperative called The Deli Garage.

The Parmesan Pencils came in three flavors: truffle, pesto, and chili. The shavings make for a different way of topping your food off with cheese and gives you more choices and leeway to come up with cool presentations of your food.

The bad news is that the pencils were made in a limited run of 500 and sold out in just two weeks. But maybe Kolle Rebbe will reconsider and start churning out these Parmesan Pencils for good, because I’d sure love to have me some sharpenable cheese.

I watched a lot of movies as a kid and one of my favorites was Top Secret. I laughed and laughed every time I watched it. The only flick I liked better was Monty Python and the Holy Grail. SpaceX launched its Dragon spacecraft into orbit this week called, and onboard the craft was this secret cargo.

It’s was cool enough that on the lid of the cargo container was the logo from Top Secret. Once they popped the cover off that secret compartment, they revealed that it was a big wheel of cheese.

They should have tossed in some tortilla chips and once the Dragon landed, we could have had nachos. I love me some space nachos. The wheel of cheese was a reference to a skit from Monty Python’s Flying Circus where John Cleese tries to order cheese from a cheese shop that has no cheese. Elon if you read this, send me some space cheese please. I’m having a UFC party and it would go great with some crackers.

Looks like this ridiculous clip was from a 1987 promo for Disney’s Star Tours, starring timeless actors Gil Gerard and Ernie Reyes, Jr. For some reason it reminds me of that time the Mr. T rapped about his mother.

I’ve seen some offbeat casemods in my travels, but I haven’t seen one quite this odd in a while.

Apparently, some guy from Holland came across this cheese display prop and said to himself, “I’ve always wanted a PC that looked like a wheel of cheese”. So he got to crackin’ it open, and loaded its guts with electronics.

As I look at the back of the case, I’m not really sure how the ventilation system works, unless the computer is either stood on its side or operates face down. Whatever — it’s all weird — maybe it’s supposed to be suspended from fishing line for all I know.

In my eyes, it looks more like a Roomba than a cheese wheel anyhow.
